Interesting Things To Know About
Meditation isn’t about getting rid of your thoughts, it’s about learning how to be at ease with them.
Learn To Ease Your Thoughts
Train of thought, during my amazing day I had, going through the YouTube videos, there has been this thought that was subconscious and recessive, because every time I saw the ad, I would ignore it, but I didn’t know it was in my mind until recently when I took action to go ahead and pay attention to the ad, click and yes finally download the app. The advert was about Headspace, a company that offers guided meditation and mindfulness training. So what is Meditation?
According to Wikipedia, “Meditation can be defined as a practice where an individual focuses their mind on a particular object, thought or activity to have a mentally clear and emotionally calm state.”
Weeks before I took action to download the Headspace app and see what it was all about, I had been under pressure, stressed and losing confidence in my ability to do great things. Stress management you would say, talk to someone wouldn’t you recommend? I did, yep I did, but it did not help.
There are things we hear about everyday that we do not take seriously or make time for, simply because we are “BUSY”, but how busy are we exactly?
Yesterday a friend said that my analytical skills and thinking processes where lacking, I did not understand, but she said I needed to do something about my problem solving skills so I could be better at what I do and set myself apart from my competition in clear thinking processes, that includes analytical thinking, planning, multitasking and the ability to separate information that is necessary from information that is unnecessary to have great results with great value.
She suggested an article from Mindvalley that spoke about analytical skills and the value to attaining such skills, it was very interesting and I had to take action. She also said if I was going to do this, I would need to make time, but to me this was not negotiable, I understood that this would take me further, so I downloaded one of the recommended apps – Lumosity, that would drive my cognitive thinking skills to a new level.
Since yesterday, after having this information, about meditating and developing your cognitive skills, I realized I did have time when I made it available, I could spend 20 min to meditate and at the same time grow my analytical skills. Today I did set aside time to meditate and grow my cognitive skills.
Does this mean am not busy? No, it means no matter how busy we are, we always make time for the things that are important to us and this is very natural. I will do this daily, and you will be part of it and suggest you made time too, after all it’s for you.
We meditate to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and pain while gaining analytical skills increases brain activity, focus and productivity. We can take on this challenge.
While it is uncertain that using both apps, Headspace for meditation and Lumosity for cognitive skills will do all the above and be this great person free of oppression, I may not immediately be alleviated, time and dedication is of essence to the success of my transformation.
For the next 30 days, I will be keeping you updated with the progress of my growth, you too can join me, download the apps and get started, comment on the posts your progress and let’s all work towards freedom of clarity and being at ease with our minds.
